How to Quickly Integrate Mailchimp with Fluent Forms

Generate API Key From Mailchimp

Before you continue to the step you have to first install and activate the Tablesome plugin.

To connect Fluent Forms to Mailchimp you’ll need to copy your API key from your Mailchimp account.

• To do this go to your Mailchimp account –> Profile.
  
• Then click Extras → API Keys
  
• To connect with Fluent Forms, you must copy the existing API key from the list of produced API keys.
• If you haven’t already generated an API key, click “Create a Key” to generate one.
  

Connect Mailchimp to Fluent Forms

• On your WordPress dashboard, go to Tablesome Settings → Integrations → Mailchimp
• Paste the Mailchimp API Key that you’ve copied into the API Key field and click Connect to Mailchimp button and it will be connected.
  
• To save the Mailchimp integration, use the “Save” button.

Create Fluent Forms Mailchimp Workflow in Tablesome

You have to create a Fluent Forms newsletter signup form, before setting up the workflow.

Let’s set up a workflow using Tablesome for Fluent Forms Mailchimp integration to add a submitter as a subscriber to your Mailchimp audience.

To do this,

• Go to Tablesome → Create New Table and give this workflow an appropriate title
• Under workflows go to  ‘Trigger 1’ select  ‘Fluent Forms OnForm Submit’ trigger
• Then, under the ‘Forms’ field, choose the Mailchimp registration form you prepared
• There will be a new ‘Action (set 1)’ part; in this section, choose the ‘Mailchimp’ integration and then the ‘Add Contact’ action
• Select the Mailchimp audience / list in which you wish to save the contact in the new ‘Select a list’ section.

Now that the Fluent Forms signup form and Mailchimp list are connected, we can map the Mailchimp fields with the Fluent Forms fields.

Fluent Forms Mailchimp Fields Mapping

You have to map fields, that is, relate the Fluent Forms form fields to the corresponding Mailchimp fields. For example, you have to map the Fluent Forms Email field to the Mailchimp Email field.

• Both the Form and Mailchimp fields can be found in the Match Fields section.
• Select the Fluent Forms form on the left side, followed by the Mailchimp field on the right.
• This procedure should be repeated for each field in your Fluent Forms Signup form.
• Click the ‘Save Table’ button at the bottom to save your workflow.

Applying Conditions Workflows and Tags To Mailchimp Contact

You could also create Conditions for a contact to be added as a subscriber and assign ‘Mailchimp Tags’ to the newly added contact. These conditions and tags allow us to classify subscribers based on criteria such as mailing preferences, interests, and so on.

There is a Conditions option that has three fields: Form, Conditional operator, and Value. As a result, you can use conditions based on the values in each form field.

You may also add a second action by clicking the “Add another action” button and then repeat the process with other criteria and tags for different values.
