Introducing Frontend Editor For Table & Form Submissions

If you’re displaying form submissions on frontend tables or have datatables on your WordPress posts and pages, you’ll want to be able to edit the tables without having to go to the dashboard.

It would also be inconvenient if you had to grant backend access to everyone who wanted to edit the tables.

As a result, in Tablesome Pro 1.0.1, we added Frontend Editing capabilities.

WordPress Frontend Table Editor is the most anticipated feature, and many of you have requested frontend editing of WordPress tables since the Tablesome plugin was released.

Tablesome Frontend Editor For Table & Form Submissions

Frontend editing is available for any tables displayed on WordPress posts and pages. You could use this feature to allow logged-in users to edit and delete table rows in the WordPress frontend tables.

Frontend Editing works for both the table data that are directly added and submitted thorugh forms.

What can you do with the Frontend Editor?

In the Tablesome Frontend editor you can,

• Restrict frontend editing to selected User Roles
• Allow users to edit only their own records
• Make only selected table columns editable
• Choose if users can delete the record or not

Edit Form Entries Frontend

When you have saved the form entries with Tablesome, you can allow users to edit the form entries on the frontend.

From the table sidebar, you can enable frontend editing. Then, you can use the Tablesome shortcode to display the data from the form entries on the frontend.

Allow Users to Edit Their Own Entries

You can decide to give users access to the WordPress frontend only to edit and update their own form entries.

It can be used in combination with the “OnTableLoad” trigger and “Filter Table” action to display only the form entries submitted by the user, which they are permitted to edit.
